After leading by 14 points at halftime, the Golden Rams lost (57-53) to the Kentucky State Thorobreds on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Golden Rams women fell to (4-8) overall & (2-4) in the SIAC. The Thorobreds women improved to (6-3) overall & (4-2) in the SIAC.
Kashay Hankerson led the Golden Rams with 16 points. Milana Holmes finished with 13 points and 4 rebounds.
The Thorobreds had two players to score in double figures. Gracen Kerr finished with 14 points and 4 assists. Taleah Dilworth contributed with 10 points.
In game 2, the Golden Rams were up 11 points at halftime but were defeated (79-75) by the Kentucky State Thorobreds. The Golden Rams men fell to (2-10) overall & (2-4) in the conference while the Thorobreds improved to (6-1) overall & (5-1) in the conference.
Jaleel Simmons led the Golden Rams with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Malik Parkerfinished with 18 points while Terin Wofford contributed with 12 points.
Jay Murrell finished with 27 points and 7 rebounds for the Thorobreds. Kong Kong contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds.
The Golden Rams will return to action on January 2 when they host the Miles College Golden Bears at the ASU West Arena.
